OLA at the Conservative Party Conference

Political Liaison Officer, Naila Akhter was recently invited by the President of the Law Society to represent the Oldham Law Association at an informal drinks reception for the Conservative Party conference.
At the event, there was a short speech by the Attorney General, Victoria Prentis KC who spoke about job opportunities for lawyers in the Government Legal Department (GLD), Manchester Office. Naila also had the opportunity to raise concerns with the Law Society President over criminal legal aid cuts and solicitors having to pay for court passes.

OLA Quiz night raises £250 for charity

The Oldham Law Association got their fundraising off to a good start raising £250.00 at the annual quiz for MAHDLO Youth Zone.
OLA President, Pamela Walsh proudly posed with fellow committee members Paul Bradbury from Platts Solicitors and Abid Hussian from Equity Law Chambers.
